Who we are in life is based on the books we read and the people we associate with.
If we associate with people who are trouble makers, who steal from others and do questionable legal things, we risk becoming like them. If we associate with chronic complainers and pessimists, we risk becoming like them.
If we associate with people who strive to be better at the jobs, their businesses, as a mom, as a dad, a brother, a sister, a son, a daughter, we risk their positive influence impacts us. I’d say that is a good thing.
We must take inventory of those people in our lives that are toxic. People that don’t make us feel good about ourselves. People that tell you “you will never accomplish that” or “you are not good at that.” People that are living in the past and are not future focused. We must learn to put a bouncer at the door of our brains and protect the input as well as those relationships we allow into our lives.
Life is too short to get off course. Be proactive, be aware of those in your circles and break free of those that hold you back!
